Mississippi Behavioral Health Careers Opportunity Program

MSBHCOP is Afya's workforce development initiative expanding access to behavioral health care across rural Mississippi. We engage middle school, high school, and college students — introducing them to careers in behavioral health, social services, and public health through education, mentorship, and real-world field experience.

Exposure to licensed behavioral health professionals through job shadowing and mentorship
Paid stipends and academic support to remove barriers for rural and underserved students
College readiness and career pathway planning in social work, counseling, and public health
